Lovefilm should be a familiar name to residents of the UK as they have spent the last decade or so running a rather successful DVD by post rental service. All good companies need to move with the times and give the customer what they want, Lovefilm are no exception. Enter Lovefilm Instant.

Blinkbox has been around since 2007 and has recently been purchased by supermarket giants Tesco who wish to use Blinkbox to boost their media offerings. Working on a pay per film rather than a monthly subscription, is Blinkbox up to scratch?

Second to Lovefilm to the UK's streaming movie market was Netflix, the big boys from the States. Netflix, already well establised in America are hoping to take a big bite out of the same market Lovefilm Instant is pitching to. It's fair to say there's a big fight on for your custom.

Now TV is the new service from Sky which sells itself on having new releases 6 months sooner than Lovefilm or Netflix and it comes in at a price. But is the high price tag of £8.99 a month really worth it?
